Summary

Silent A0 run died at Floor 8 to Bygone Effigy Elite (127 HP, Slow, Str-scaling). The run was proceeding well, with the player obtaining Booming Conch from Neow and drafting strong AoE (Dagger Spray x2, Blade Dance) and mitigation (Piercing Wail). At Floor 7 Shop, the player purchased Footwork and a second Piercing Wail, leaving 2 Gold.

Entering the Floor 8 Elite combat against Bygone Effigy with 36/70 HP, the player utilized Dagger Sprays and Piercing Wails to mitigate the Effigy's heavy 23-damage attacks. On Turn 9, the player was at 3 HP and the Effigy at 29 HP. The player attempted to use Explosive Ampoule and Liquid Bronze to secure the kill. However, the player incorrectly passed targetIndex: 0 to the UsePotion command for Liquid Bronze (which targets AnyPlayer), inadvertently granting 3 Thorns to the Bygone Effigy. When the player subsequently played Dagger Spray (which hits twice), the enemy's Thorns dealt 6 damage back to the player, causing immediate death.

Bridge findings

  • SelectMapNode requires col and row parameters, not just nodeCol or col.
  • UsePotion requires slotIndex and targetIndex.
  • CRITICAL: Potions with targetType: AnyPlayer (like Liquid Bronze or Mazaleth's Gift) will apply their buff to the enemy if targetIndex: 0 is passed! The player must carefully check target types. tgt=AnyPlayer means the potion can target the player OR the enemy. Passing targetIndex: 0 targets the first enemy, not the player. To target the player, no targetIndex should be passed, or it must be specifically formatted for the player.
  • SelectCardInReward is not valid; the correct command is SelectCardOption with cardIndex.
  • cardRewardOptions can be accessed via read-state.ps1 -Raw, but extracting the JSON in PowerShell requires care with quotes and stdout pollution from autopilot-lib loaded.

  • The UsePotion command behavior where targetIndex: 0 applies a player-buff potion to an enemy is extremely dangerous and counterintuitive if the user assumes 0 means "self" or "default target". A warning in SKILL.md about AnyPlayer potion targeting would prevent this.
