Summary

NECROBINDER A0 run died on floor 7 to Wrigglers in the Dense Vegetation event combat. The run was plagued by a brutal Fogmog fight on floor 6 that drained HP from 66 to 2 across 7 rounds, requiring both Power Potion and Colorless Potion to survive. Gold Axe from the Colorless Potion delivered the killing blow on Fogmog at 2 HP. The Dense Vegetation event healed to 21 HP but forced a 4-enemy combat that quickly overwhelmed the depleted deck. Key contributor: Fogmog's Eye With Teeth (Illusion power, revives every turn) caused sustained damage escalation that the Necrobinder's low-damage starter deck could not handle efficiently.

Bridge findings

  • Power Potion ChooseACard screen: UsePotion for Power Potion opened ChooseACardSelection screen, but chooseACardScreen.active returned PropertyNotFoundException on initial read. The modal silently blocked PlayCard commands causing a ~30s stall. Resolved by reading full state where chooseACardScreen.visible=true was available. The ChooseACard command with cardIndex worked correctly.
  • Snap handSelect modal: Consistently fires after every Snap play. Must use HandSelectCard to pick a card for Retain buff before combat can continue.
  • Reward position shift: After claiming a reward, remaining rewards shift to position 0. Must re-read or track sequentially.
  • Event command: SelectEventOption (not ChooseEventOption) with optionIndex param.
  • Map travel command: SelectMapNode (not Travel or ChooseMapNode) with col/row params.

Decision log highlights

  • Neow: Precise Scissors (remove 1 Strike) — chose deck thinning over other blessings. Reduced starter Strikes from 4 to 3.
  • F1 reward: Snap — Osty attack (7 dmg) + Retain to hand card. Strong Osty synergy pick.
  • F2 reward: Putrefy — 2 Weak + 2 Vulnerate, Exhaust. Debilitation for tough fights. Used in Fogmog to mitigate damage.
  • F4 reward: Sic 'Em — Osty deals 5 dmg + Summon 2 when Osty hits. Summon synergy for Osty-based deck.
  • F6 Fogmog fight: 7-round grind. Eye With Teeth (Illusion) revived every turn, generating Status cards. Used Power Potion (picked Danse Macabre) and Colorless Potion (picked Gold Axe — damage = cards played this combat, which was ~15+). Gold Axe killed Fogmog at 2 HP.
  • F6 reward: Wisp — 0 cost gain 1 Energy, Exhaust. Picked over High Five (2 cost) and Sculpting Strike. Used immediately in F7 combat.
  • F7 Dense Vegetation: "Trudge On" (lose 8 HP) would kill at 2 HP. Forced to pick "Rest" (heal 19 HP → 21 HP, then fight). 4 Wrigglers overwhelmed at low HP.

Notes for maintainers

  • Fogmog + Eye With Teeth (Illusion) is an extremely dangerous encounter for the Necrobinder starter deck. The deck lacks burst damage to kill Fogmog quickly while Eye feeds Status cards every turn. Consider flagging this encounter as high-risk for Necrobinder in tactical notes.
  • The run's death was primarily strategic (taking too much damage in Fogmog) rather than bridge-related. The 1 stall was recovered. The 3 IPC errors were command-name guesses (ClaimReward, Travel, ChooseMapNode) quickly corrected.
