Summary
DEFECT ascended to floor 22 before dying to The Obscura in Act 2. The run cleared Act 1, defeating the Kin Priest boss with 5 HP remaining after a grueling 18-round fight. Neow choice was Golden Pearl (+150 gold), enabling early shop purchases (Tesla Coil, Go for the Eyes, card removal). The deck built around Thunder + orb evoke synergy, later augmented by Shatter (evoke all orbs) and Echo Form (doubled first card). Act 2 started strong with Pael's Flesh (+1 energy from turn 3) and a full heal, but HP attrition from consecutive combats without a rest site proved fatal. The Obscura combat dragged beyond the deck's sustain capacity, ending the run at 19 HP after taking unblocked multi-attacks.
Bridge findings
- Potion reward requires double collection at multiple reward screens (positions 0/1/2 for Explosive Ampoule, Speed Potion). SelectReward returned
ok=truebut the potion did not appear inrun.potions[]until a second SelectReward was issued. Observed after Nibbit combat (first potion) and Shrinker Beetle combat (Speed Potion). - Skill Potion modal delayed — used Skill Potion,
chooseACardScreendid not appear immediately. It appeared one command later after another PlayCard command processed. Workaround: checkstate.chooseACardScreenafter a delay. - Spoils Map relic not appearing in
run.relics[]after "The Legends Were True" event (index 0 "Nab the Map"). Relic was granted in-game (card appeared in hand as unplayable "Spoils Map") but was never listed in the relics array. - bridge_version mismatch —
state.modVersionreports0.1.1while spec saysv0.1.5. This may indicate the operator deployed an older bridge version.
Decision log highlights
- Neow: Chose Golden Pearl (150 gold) over Small Capsule (random relic) and Precarious Shears (remove 2 cards, lose 16 HP). The gold funded early Tesla Coil purchase.
- First shop (floor 6): Bought Tesla Coil (74g, 0-cost lightning synergy), Card Removal (75g, removed Strike), Go for the Eyes (49g, 0-cost + Weak). Total 198g of 226g.
- Elite pathing: Took Phrog Parasite elite at floor 8 with 67 HP. Infested x4 spawned 4 Wrigglers on death, leading to an 11-round fight ending at 36 HP. Surrendered Explosive Ampoule potion to secure the kill.
- Card picks: Chose Capacitor (+2 orb slots) over Cold Snap at floor 7; Storm (Power, channel lightning on Power play) over Synchronize at floor 8 elite; Shatter (evoke all orbs, rare boss reward) over Supercritical; Echo Form (doubled first card) over Leap at floor 21.
- Boss fight strategy: Against Kin Priest (190 HP), prioritized Thunder + Storm setup, used Gigantification Potion with Tesla Coil for 18 damage burst, and chipped away with orb passives + Dualcast over 18 rounds. Won with 5 HP.
- Pael's Flesh: Chose +1 energy from turn 3 over Clone enchant and double-block relic at Act 2 start. This enabled the Echo Form play later.
- Doll Room: Took random doll relic (free) rather than paying HP for choice, preserving HP for combats.
Notes for maintainers
- Tool leaks detected: Both
webfetchandtask(sub-agent) tools were available in the environment despite being explicitly forbidden by protocol.md. Neither was used during the run. The operator should verifyopencode.benchmark.jsonis the active config before pre-flight. - Command count estimate: The
command_count(250) andipc_error_count(25) are estimates. The actual counts fromtrace.logshould be used. IPC errors were almost exclusively from incorrecthandIndextargeting when playing cards sequentially — the hand re-packs after each play, so the agent must re-read hand positions. These are agent errors, not bridge failures. - Run length note: The session was extremely long (estimated 250+ commands over ~2 hours). The agent drove the game at the required one-tick-per-command pace throughout, reading
state.jsonbefore every decision. No batching, no scripts, no loops.
