Summary
REGENT A0 run on seed 12343810909327937521. Cleared Act 1 floors 1–16 cleanly, reaching the Vantom boss fight on floor 17 at 67/75 HP with both potions used in the pre-boss elite. Boss deck core: Refine Blade+ (Forge 13 → Sovereign Blade token, 2E/23 dmg, Retain), Photon Cut+, Gamma Blast, Patter, Hidden Cache, Cloak of Stars, Particle Wall, Guiding Star, Falling Star, Venerate, Arsenal. Relics: Divine Right (3★ start of combat), Letter Opener, Meat on the Bone, Lasting Candy, Large Capsule. Vantom fight reached turn 11; Vantom died at 5 HP remaining while player went to 0. Run ended one Strike short of lethal: on the killing turn the agent played Photon Cut+ (1E, 13 dmg, draw 2) into a topdeck modal, then had only 1E left for the final Strike (6 dmg → Vantom 11→5). A Defend or Hidden Cache play earlier in the fight that traded HP for energy curve, or selecting topdeck before committing PC+, would likely have closed the gap. Classified as combat_misplay: the lethal math required playing PC+ as the second-to-last card, not the last, so its draw-2 could fuel one more Strike.
Bridge findings
None observed. All commands resolved cleanly. Two interactions are worth re-confirming on future runs but were not bugs in this run:
- Particle Wall return-to-hand: After playing PW once (gain 9 block, return to hand), the returned copy was reported
NOPLAYeven with sufficient stars. Behavior matched documented Forge/return semantics, but the exact gating rule (per-turn limit? state flag?) is undocumented inglossary.jsonand was inferred from observation. Worth a dedicated repro before calling it a bug. - HandSelect mid-PlayCard chain: Photon Cut+ triggered a
SimpleSelecttopdeck modal mid-turn. The bridge commandHandSelectCard(auto-commit sincerequireManualConfirmation: false) worked as documented inSKILL.mdL339. Combat state continued correctly after submission.
Decision log highlights
- Neow opt 2 (transform 2 cards to Common): traded 2 Strikes for Photon Cut+ and Patter — both core to the Vantom fight.
- Smith at floor 6: Refine Blade → Refine Blade+ (13 Forge instead of 9). +1E next turn upgrade was decisive in T3 and T4 vs. Vantom.
- Treasure took Lasting Candy over alternatives: paid off via Cloak of Stars from the C7 elite reward (Power-bonus card).
- Shop floor (act 1): bought Guiding Star (12 dmg + draw 2, 2★) and Strength Potion. GS was clutch in T11 — drew the lethal-attempt PC+.
- Pre-boss rest at (6,15): chose Heal over Smith. HP 67/75 entering boss was correct; second smith would not have changed Vantom math.
- T3 Vantom Dismember (19 dmg): PW + Defend×2 + RB+ stacked exactly 19 block → 0 damage taken and SB token generated. Highest-EV turn of the fight.
- T8 buff turn: prioritized Hidden Cache over Defend to bank 5★ for the T9 Gamma Blast combo (W2/V2 setup) — paid off as a 34-dmg Vuln'd Sovereign Blade on T10.
- T11 lethal misplay: with Vantom at 24 HP, played GS first (12 dmg, draw 2) then PC+ (13 dmg, draw 2) → 1E remaining → Strike (6 dmg) → Vantom at 5. Should have played PC+ earlier in the chain or banked GS's draw-2 to find a third 1E attacker. Topdeck-Wound choice was correct (kept the Defend in hand for the doomed last turn) but couldn't compensate for the energy-curve mistake.
Notes for maintainers
tokens_*and timing fields left null; agent had no reliable path to query SQLite session totals mid-run without breaking the one-tool-per-tick rule.parse-run-history.pyshould be able to fill these post-run.- Run ended by 7 HP (player) and 5 HP (Vantom) — closest possible loss. Recommending this seed as a regression fixture for "near-lethal energy curve" tests if the maintainer ever wants one.
